Thank you to everyone who joined us for the Palo Alto Police Foundation’s inaugural kickoff and the opening of the new Public Safety Building. Your support made it a memorable event for our officers, their families, and the community.

We were honored to hear from Representative Sam Liccardo, who introduced Pro Football Hall of Famer and former 49ers quarterback Steve Young. A longtime Palo Alto resident, Steve spoke about the power of community and what it means to come together as a team. He also reminded us how much our safety and quality of life depend on the officers who serve us and on the neighbors who stand behind them.

Strong communities are built on strong partnerships. Thanks to you, we raised over $35,000. Your support helps us in two ways. First, to promote positive relationships with residents, businesses and police by creating open conversations, sharing meals and connecting. Second it expands wellness programs for Palo Alto police officers and staff, so they receive support every day, not only after a crisis. Healthy officers mean safer, stronger communities.

All proceeds from this event benefit the Palo Alto Police Foundation, a 501(C)3 nonprofit organization [EIN: 87-3284101]. The mission of the Palo Alto Police Foundation is to enhance the quality of life for Palo Alto’s residents and working population, and strengthen police-community relations.

With heartfelt thanks,

The Palo Alto Police Foundation
